Arash Abshar. Police are asking the public to be on the look out for Arash Abshar, 81 , who has been missing from his Hove home since Saturday 10 August.
Inspector Jon Carter from Brighton said: “Mr Abshar, who is Persian, suffers from dementia and was last seen by his wife at around 11am on Saturday.
“It is unusual for him to be away from his home for this length of time and everyone is growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.
“Although Mr Abshar has lived in England a long time and speaks English, he has recently been communicating with people in Turkish and also a Persian dialect called Arsari and often switches between the two.
“He is known to frequent the Taj on Western Road but the staff have not seen him in the last 24 hours.
“If you see Mr Abshar please immediately call 101 quoting serial 1604 of 10/8. We need to return him to his family who are very worried about him.” checked navy jacket and a tie
He is described as 5′ 6″ – 5′ 7″, well built with grey hair and of smart appearance. He often wears a mackintosh but was last seen wearing a navy check jacket and tie.
