Yulia Solodyankina UPDAT. Police investigating the disappearance of the missing Russian student Yulia Solodyankina have released CCTV footage http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IP-TnusCLQ8 showing her in Edinburgh city centre on Friday, June 7.
The last confirmed sighting of Yulia had previously been at the Wee Red Bar in Lady Lawson Street, the previous day (Thursday, June 6).
The footage shows Yulia walking in South Bridge, close to the junction with Infirmary Street, at 2.50pm on Friday.
She was later spotted on CCTV at Buchanan Street bus station in Glasgow, at 4.55pm.
CCTV shows her wearing a dark coat with belt, dark shoulder bag, a red and orange coloured scarf, grey trousers, and brown shoes with white laces.
Yulia, who speaks fluent English with a strong Russian accent, is described as 5ft 6ins tall, with a small mole on her left cheek.
Her ears are pierced and she wears a number of rings on her fingers, in particular a distinctive thumb ring, shaped like a small spoon.
Chief Inspector Mark Patterson, from Police Scotland Edinburgh Division, said: “The footage we have obtained shows Yulia walking in South Bridge, close to the junction with Infirmary Street, at 2.50pm on Friday, June 7.
“She was later seen on CCTV at Buchanan Street bus station in Glasgow at 4.55pm.
“This is the last confirmed sighting of Yulia, and we remain keen for any information that can assist us in tracing her current whereabouts.
“We would appeal to anyone who has seen or heard from Yulia since she has gone missing to contact police.
“Anyone else with information that can assist our inquiries should also get in touch.

Yulia Solodyankina, 22, a Russian national who has been studying physics in the Capital for four years, was last seen leaving The Wee Red Bar at Edinburgh College of Art just after 9pm on the night of Thursday 6th June.
A spokesman for Police Scotland confirmed that Yulia had been reported missing and that enquiries were ongoing. Anyone with any information about Yulia is encouraged to call 0131 311 3131 immediately.
